Bank Jago 2023 Annual Report
Challenge
Bank Jago, known for its bold and distinct brand identity, presented us with a unique challenge for their 2023 Annual Report. Their highly defined brand guidelines served both as a framework and a springboard for creative exploration. Beyond design, the real test was to deeply understand Jago’s business and translate its core message, Unlocking Potential, into an impactful creative expression.
Execution
The theme ‘Unlocking Potential’ served as the driving force behind our creative direction. It encouraged the exploration of visual metaphors such as windows, keyholes, and layered forms that reveal new opportunities, illustrating how potential grows when doors are unlocked.
Drawing inspiration from Bank Jago’s iconic “J” brandmark and its distinctive rounded nuance, the design translated these elements into expanding circular forms across the cover and section dividers, serving as a visual metaphor for unlocking potential. A die-cut finish to the cover introduced an additional interactive sense of discovery, inviting readers to explore beyond the surface.
The visual storytelling was elevated through conceptual photography, bringing each narrative to life. The result was a human-centered, tangible illustration of Bank Jago’s philosophy.
Impact
The 2023 Annual Report stayed true to Jago’s DNA yet stood out for its boldness and distinct construction. It struck a balance between corporate sophistication and creative expression — a seamless blend of order and flair. The project went on to be named Grand Winner for Best of Country: Indonesia Category at the 2024 ARC Awards, a recognition that celebrated both Bank Jago’s spirit of Unlocking Potential and Mitragrafia’s pursuit of design excellence.
